ーー What inspired you to work at SG Group?
I actually started out as a bartender in Yokosuka. I remember when Shingo Gokan, SG Group’s founder, visited my bar as a guest bartender—his approach to the craft broadened my view of the bar world, showing me how much there is to explore on a global scale. Later, when I was considering going independent, he offered me the role of head bartender at The SG Club, and I was thrilled to accept.
ーー What is your current role and responsibilities?
I’m currently the Beverage Director at SG Group. My main focus areas are drink development, maintaining quality control, and training our bartenders.

Whether it's perfecting a cocktail or improving our operations, I strive to make each day better than the last through thought, creativity, and continuous effort.

Personal Bio
I spent three years at a top-tier soccer school in Kagoshima, where I learned the value of daily effort and teamwork. After serving five and a half years as a medic in the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, I began my bartending career in Yokosuka. Gaining experience in Tokyo bars and winning several cocktail competitions, I joined SG Group in 2019. Recognizing my palate and skill, Shingo Gokan appointed me as head bartender at The SG Club, where I contributed to achieving World’s and Asia’s 50 Best awards. Currently, as Beverage Director, I oversee quality control across eight locations and perform as a guest bartender internationally. My hobbies include working out and exploring restaurants, and I make it a daily routine to eat natto, yogurt, and onions everyday.
