ーー What inspired you to work at SG Group?
After returning from New York, I was invited to join SG Group by founder Shingo Gokan. I was first in charge of the SG Airways cocktail pairing event and then helped launch "SG Low" as the chef.
ーー What is your current role and responsibilities?
As the Corporate Chef of SG Group, I am involved in store development, product planning, and store operations. Recently, I have focused on managing SG Low and developing menus for new establishments.
ーー What is important to you in your work?
Communication with colleagues is vital. When developing new products or operations, I share my thoughts and advantages and then seek feedback from the team. Instead of leading solely, I encourage team members to consider what is necessary and important for our establishments.
ーー What makes SG Group attractive?
Everyone is friendly across all locations. We have many international customers, allowing for cultural exchange while staying in Japan. Each store has a unique, stylish vibe that makes working here always super exciting!!
Personal Bio
I started my culinary career in New York at 25. I was part of the founding team of SaKaMai in 2012 and became the head chef in 2017. After returning to Japan in 2020, I joined SG Group. In 2021, I became a chef at SG Low as an opening member.
